Germicidal 4 Pin Linear fluorescent lamps are used in applications where the electrical connection for the lamp may be restricted due to design constraints of a UV system or the environment where the lamps will be used. This is often the case in water purification systems and any time an external quartz sleeve is used in conjunction with the lamp. The lamps are available in both a standard (L) or low ozone version and an ozone producing (VH) version. Lamp length generally determines the maximum wattage at which the lamp can be operated and is denominated in millimeters.
