Krypton gas filled lamps are an alternative to halogen lamps in architectural or decorative applications.  The lamp envelope is glass which means that handling the lamp does not create a residual cleaning problem.  The color of the lamp is in between the 3200 Kelvin of halogen and the 2700 Kelvin of incandescent and the lamps are generally rated at 3000 hours.  Lamps are available in 20 watt, 40 watt and 60 watt in both clear and frosted finishes.
