This socket is heavy duty ceramic designed for E40 mogul base metal halide and high pressure sodium lamp types. The electrical connection is via two coated wires extending from the base of the socket and mounting is accomplished with two threaded holes in the bottom of the socket body. This soket is rated at $KV for pulse start lamp and ballast combinations.
